Trade-ins & Store Credit

  • What all do you take for trades?
    • We accept trade ins for video games, consoles, video game related accessories, Funko POP's, trading card singles, and anime statues. If you are ever curious about how much something is, please feel free to call or reach out to us through here or through our messages on Facebook/Instagram. Typically calling us or coming to visit are your fastest ways to get help, and we will try to get back to you online as fast as possible! We always tell anyone the worst thing we could say is no so please don't be afraid to swing by and come see us! We are here to help!
  • How does the trade in process work? 
    • We take trade ins all day long with no appointments needed. We give either cash or store credit based on what your needs are. Your store credit will be in your account indefinitely until it is spent and can be used in-store and will be available here online around December 2024 to January 2025. 
  • How much do you typically pay for trades? 
    • It depends on the category, but we usually give 45-50% in cash on items that are $15 and higher and 55-60% in store credit on them. Anything below $15 is usually at a lower percentage since items within that range can be slower movers for us overall and are more bulk in nature. We tend to do around 25-40% on items under $15 depending on what they are. There are certain exceptions to these rules such as sports titles, bulk trading cards, and slower moving inventory. 
    • Trading cards typically follow our same guidelines as video games with 45-50% in cash on cards over $15 and 55-60% in store credit for them. Anything over a $1 and under $4 are usually 10-25% in cash and 15-30% in store credit. Over $4, we pay 25-45% until they are at the $15 range. We don't usually accept a lot of bulk cards at this time, but typically pay around .01 to .02 cents for common/uncommon cards and bulk rares are anywhere from .04 to .10 cents depending on the game and demand.

  • Can I ship my trades to you? How does that work? 
    • You can always send us your trades through the mail by first messaging us at info@redfoxgamingonline.com with pictures and a description of what you have. If we approve for you to send it, send it to our address at 2111 Catawba Valley Blvd. SE, Hickory, NC 28602. We can pay you via PayPal or a check mailed to you based on your preference. 

Repairs

  • Do you currently offer repairs for video game related items and consoles? 
    • As of this current moment, we do not offer anything other than battery repair on various games that need them such as Pokémon games and other cartridge based games. We may extend our services in the future, but we tend to stay pretty busy with what all comes in and repairing/refurbishing any items that are traded in. You are always still welcome to come by and ask for our expertise or knowledge so we can either point you in the right direction or see what we can do to help you. We do offer free cleanings on cartridge based games and consoles so that we can help you prolong the life of your collection! 
  • Some of my disc based video games aren't reading, do you guys offer disc refurbishments? 
    • We do! For $2 per disc, we are able to use our disc buffing machines to professionally restore and clean your discs. This service helps so many people bring their discs back to life and save them money. We cannot repair any top scratches which are scratches that are on the top of a disc where the labeling is and are see-through if you point a light at the disc. There are several layers of data on a disc (crazy to think of for how thin they are!) and the data normally sits under the layer where the label is. As far as Blu-ray discs, we can do light cleanings and polishings for those with extremely light scratches, but they are coated with a tougher film. That film makes them much more resistant to scratches, but also makes repairing them near impossible minus those very light scratches so we always advise people to look out for that. We will usually advise you on which discs we can do beforehand so we don't take your money without looking over them to see what we can and cannot do. 

Store Loyalty & Rewards Program

  • Can you tell us more about your the loyalty program and how it works? Does it cost anything? 
    • Our loyalty program is absolutely free, and works as followed: For every $100 that you spend, you save $5. Once you get to $200, it moves up to $11 you can use and $300 spent will get you $17 back in rewards. After that, the rate doesn't move any more than usual. However if you spend $300 within 90 days, your account will automatically be moved to a free upgraded VIP status where for every $75 you spend, you will earn $5 back. Your points will work at our physical location and here on our online store. We wanted to make sure that both store credit and rewards can be used at either place with us, though store credit online will launch no later than January 2025 as of now. 
  • Other than the rewards points, are there any other benefits I should know about? 
    • Yes! We have planned exclusive sales, offers, and coupons that our loyalty rewards customers will get access to that others will not, and will release some news and updates through our program so that you guys can stay up to date with us and we get the chance to reward you for your loyalty! 

Preorders

  • I want to preorder something through your store, but don't see it available? How can I find out if you will be getting it?
    • So we will list all preorders that we are taking on our website including even for in-store orders so that we have them pushed all to one place for ease of fulfillment on our end. If you don't see something that you would like to purchase, always feel free to shoot us a message with any requests so we can make note of that for the future. All messages like those help us gauge interest in any upcoming products so we can always serve you guys as best as possible!
